I just read a fascinating article by Josh Bersin, celebrated thought leader in the HR space. Josh is basically the oracle of all things work. How we work, why we work, how to make a better work environment, etc.
This article is titled COVID-19 May Be The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Employee Engagement. Of course, true to Josh’s style, he has a lot of data and anecdotal evidence to create an support claims. I know of no one who has Josh’s ability to get such a view into companies… if Josh calls you, you take his call. And that allows him to tap into some of the most brilliant leaders and HR executives in the world.
Josh outlines 6 major changes that have come about because of COVID-19. While I was reading through this one thought I had was that not every company, or every industry, will see these changes. Sending some workers home to work is possible, but other workers have to be on-site. But the changes that have been initiated, even forced, from this global pandemic, will be far-reaching.
